Voice

During the session, from a place of spaciousness within, I allow myself to become a vessel for the voice of spirit to flow through me. If appropriate for the client, I will sometimes recommend working with the voice for chanting with the Bija mantras (seed syllables) or the six healing sounds for the energy centres of the body from the yogic and Tibetan traditions respectively.

Clear Quartz

Singing Bowls

The alchemy that lies within the sounds of these bowls is due to the properties of clear quartz: of clearing, cleansing and of amplifying intentions. The crystalline sounds of the quartz bowls resonate with the crystalline essence of the physical body including our bones and the liquid crystalline material of our connective tissue. They clear and cleanse blockages to energy flow within the chakras and aura.

They allow us to enter into the alpha-theta brainwave state of optimum healing frequency and also create a balance and synchronization in the two hemispheres of the brain. The crystal singing bowls are a sacred container for the possibility of amplifying the client’s wishes and intentions.

Tibetan Singing Bowls

There were seven metals known to the ancients and recognised by alchemists. It is believed that traditionally Tibetan singing bowls were hand made from a combination of these same seven metals that are linked to the planets of the solar system and therefore each of the metals incorporated invokes the energies associated with each planet: Gold (Sun), Silver (Moon), Iron (Mars), Mercury (Mercury), Tin (Jupiter), Copper (Venus), Lead (Saturn).

One of the singing bowls I work with is one that I forged myself from brass which is composed of zinc and copper. Copper amplifies energy, is an excellent conductor and helps stimulate flow of energy. My intention of this bowl during its various stages of making, was for it to be a channel for peace. Through the alchemy of the sound of this bowl I help you tune into peace. For more about the making of this bowl read here >>

acutonics tuning forks sound healing

Acutonics® Planetary Tuning Forks

Tuning forks can be used effectively both on and off the body to balance the nervous system and etheric fields, to induce relaxation, reduce stress and to enhance energy levels.

I use tuning forks from the Acutonics® system which combines Integrative Medicine, Oriental Medicine, and Sound Healing. Precision calibrated tuning forks are applied to specific acupuncture and acupressure points to access the body’s Meridian and Chakra energy systems. These tuning forks represent a natural harmonic series based on the orbital properties of the Earth, Moon, Sun and planets. Applying the forks stimulates and balances the body’s physical and subtle energy field to promote healing and inner harmony. It brings us into alignment with the cycles of the Cosmos known since antiquity as the Music of the Spheres.

Acutonics® is a registered trademark of the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine, LLC.

Drum

The rhythmic and repetitive playing of the drum can evoke a comforting, primal feeling akin to the sound of being in the womb and of the wonder of a beating heart. It can alter brain wave patterns to create states of consciousness in the brain linked with deep creativity, spiritual connectedness and healing possibilities. It can help us access the imaginal worlds of totem animals and spiritual guides for guidance.

Trained in Japanese taiko drum, African, and shamanic drumming, Caroline held sacred space for a dedicated healing women’s drumming circle for many years, primarily using the drum to create, in the moment, a tapestry of voice and sound in celebration and song.

Gong

The gong is a powerful sacred instrument; its overtones allow deep-seated emotional, mental, physical and psychological issues to be brought to the surface in a gently therapeutic way.

“OM is the ‘great gong tone of life’, and a gong has the special power of producing the … sound of OM”

Conreaux, D., 1994, ‘

Magnus Opus of the Gong Selected Essays Volume 1’.
